The Spaniel's Nose.

London by Night

Article text
The Fuji 23mm f1.4 XF couples beautifully with the X-T2 as a night photography system. I had a wander around London after Christmas and found it useable at 1.4 and stopped down. It has a wonderful rendering of tone and contrast and is pretty sharp even at fully open. The bokeh looks smooth and highlights are rendered as starbursts. Although, as with the other early lenses, the focusing is not lightening fast as a street lens this doesn't matter too much as I was mainly manual focusing as there were so many objects in the scene.
I primarily bought the lens for portraits where I wanted background in the shot and landscape (I do like the 35mm equivalent focal length). It may just prove to be my favourite little lens (although that could be the 90 f2...)
